Currently, I am working with UNOPS headquarters remotely from Pakistan and supporting mainly in talent acquisition activities
for the newly formed PID unit with around 50+ open positions. Apart from talent acquisition, one of my major contributions is
development of HR Dashboard on Google sheet for the unit that will be later replicated on Looker Studio. This is a stretched
assignment starting from mid of February 2024, before that, I was working with UNOPS Pakistan in the similar capacity since
June 2023.

Supported the Finance unit at HQ in terms of Strategic Workforce Planning, Organizational Design and Development. A very
challenging assignment focused on bringing novelty in the established processes based by theoretical research and best practices
in different industries to solve the current problem. The major achievement was predictive analytics for efficient workforce
demand forecasting and harmonized structure development.

Human Resources Officer – Somali Region (International Field Experience)
Head of HR unit in the Somali region of Ethiopia having 5 offices and around 240 staff including 16 internationals. Carrying out a
wide range of HR functions including talent management, learning and development, performance improvement, benefits &
entitlements administration, advisory services, organizational design, work environment & employee relationships, and HR
policy compliance etc. A summary of talent management activities mentioned below.
Talent Management:
Established the HR unit in Somali region, build of the capacity of local staff to carry out all the functions of HR. Contributed to
building and managing talent within the region, working with line managers to understand their needs, and organizing solutions
to recruit, retain and develop a high caliber workforce to deliver the business objectives. Revamped the current onboarding tool
as well as supported and delivered onboarding activities to ensure new employees have a positive experience of WFP and are
successfully integrated into their new role and the organization. Contributed towards enhancing gender parity, diversity, and
inclusion through recruitment outreach, locally building talent pool and other strategies and as an outcome enhanced gender
parity of the region by 16% so far (from 14% to 30%. Also, brought women on different leadership roles. Created HR Dashboard
and trained junior staff on how to maintain.

Emergency Human Resources Officer (TDY) – Tigray Region (International Field Experience)
Established the HR unit for Tigray Emergency by bringing in holistic HR approach and initiating different HR streams/activities in
the region. However, the focus was towards efficiently hiring/onboarding on different local and international positions to
support emergency operations. During my tenure of 3 months, I have onboarded 35+ international staff, 45+ national staff,
enhanced onboarding system, L&D and performance management system and work environment through different initiatives.
Also, supported in organizational design activities especially area office and sub offices structures.

Recruited mainly for the HR services project but worked extensively for the country office. Worked as a team lead HR for about 1

Talent Acquisition/Project Management:
Talent acquisition focal point for the CO and was the first in the country office to receive international training on Competencybased Interview in order to rollout the novel UNOPS strategy. Mainly implemented talent acquisition activities in line with
UNOPS policies and processes including provision of support in TORs development, classification of TORs, vacancy
announcement, recruitment outreach, longlisting, shortlisting, conducting multiple assessments, recommendation, reference
check, job offer/processing contract, and onboarding. Undertook complex recruitment outreach strategies including
conducting Career Fair to enhance gender parity, diversity, and inclusion as well as employer branding. Managed and reviewed
service quality and ensured agreed Turn-around times (TAT) are met for contracts issuance.
