Canadian market using their electrical components
Prepared electrical drawings, manuals and other technical documentation for new electrical products being
introduced into the company
In charge of procurement for Industrial motors, transformers, and various electrical components to be used
in automated entry systems
Provided estimating and sales services to customers requiring automated entry systems equipment
Developed a program that would allow the sales team to choose the appropriate industrial door electrical motor
solution, which would select the right motor using engineering calculations, and price-points, allowing the sales
team to offer the most cost-efficient and perfectly engineered motor solution to their customers
Utilized ERP software to manage procurement, sales, and product inventory
MOHAWK COLLEGE ENERGY RESOURCE CENTER
Power Protection And Controls Research Assistant, 2015 – 2016
Played a major role in designing of a micro-grid system to be installed in Mohawk College’s
Sustainability Resource Center, allowing a residential unit to be powered independently from the power
grid; using renewable energy sources, along with power storage
Programmed and constructed a comprehensive system which combined aspects of home automation, energy
management, and IOT (Internet of things), allowing the end-user to save on energy costs
Led the software development using a version of javascript to create the above mentioned program, along
with utilizing a UI platform, as well as utilizing SQL for data management and API for data transfer, creating
a complete front-end and back-end program solution
In charge of design and electrical planning for the DC Village located in the Kortright Center, which involved
finding creative solutions for the village to be powered through off-grid and renewable power sources such as
solar panels, a wind turbine, and a gas generator
Researched and achieved rare power protection relay interoperability by having relays from Schneider, SEL,
and Siemens communicate with each other using IEC61850 GOOSE messaging
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE
SERVICE DOOR INDUSTRIES LIMITED
Manufacturing Engineering Technologist, 2016 – 2017
Reverse engineered various mechanisms and parts essential for the operation of fire protection service doors
Coordinated with various suppliers for the sourcing and manufacturing of all the parts required for the
mechanical assemblies
Built prototypes of the reverse engineered assemblies using a wide array of hand and power tools
APOLLO HEALTH AND BEAUTY CARE
Line Technician, 2012 – 2013
Responsible for the management and planning of required production procedures of a single high volume
production line, with a range of 5,000-60,000 units produced each shift
Achieved up to 90% operation efficiency in an assembly line through quick troubleshooting and optimum
calibration of line assets such as: labeling machine, rotary filler, bottle unscrambler, automated
packing machine, tape machine, and capping machine
Effectively managed and supervised 5-20 workers on a given line, while constantly evaluating the best use of
manpower required for efficient production
Demonstrated high flexibility in several management and technical aspects, allowing me to lead any of the 10
production lines in the facility
Kept constant and effective coordination with the batching, maintenance, quality assurance and warehouse
departments to ensure all the production needs were met within a desirable timeline; along with quick and
efficient product changeovers within a shift
AGILECLICK IT SOLUTIONS INC.
Mechanical Designer, 2012
Assisted senior engineer with designing of a load station and a robotic gripper to be used in an industrial
automotive welding line
Developed assembly, manufacturing, and weldment drawings for GEO welding stations and other stations in the
line
Acquired thorough knowledge of automotive design standards and techniques; allowing for the designing of
cost-effective and design-flexible fixtures
AWARD WINNING CAPSTONE ENGINEERING PROJECT
MCMASTER UNIVERSITY
Investigation Of The IEC61850 GOOSE Protocol For Communication Between Power Protection Relays
Established a simulated power protection scheme between two Schneider MiCOM power protection smart relays
Tested the protection scheme using an advanced $50,000 Omicron relay test set and commissioning tool
Used the MiCOM relay to produce two different GOOSE messages with two different broadcast MAC addresses
Using an industrial communication switch, ran tests showing how messages can be either kept on the LAN or
allowed off site to other location
Used the software pfSense to encrypt the GOOSE messages to prevent others from accessing them, since they
are not encrypted
