Hey, I’m Muhammad Muneeb Baig, but you can just call me Muneeb (makes life easier, right?). I hang out in Islamabad, Pakistan, where I juggle the roles of Computer Science instructor and AI/ML engineer. Basically, if it’s got code, data, or a whiff of machine learning in it (I’m your guy.)
So, a bit of backstory: I kicked things off with a CS bachelor’s from COMSATS (yeah, the one everyone talks about), pulled a 3.0 GPA, not stellar but hey, life’s too short to stress over decimals. Right now, I’m leveling up with an MS at FAST NUCES, arguably the Hogwarts for Pakistani tech nerds, where I’m actually doing alright with a 3.5.
Teaching-wise, I’m currently doing my thing at FAST NUCES, running lectures and labs for core CS courses, think Programming Fundamentals and Databases, Data structures, and Computer Networks. It’s not just about tossing PowerPoints at students either; I’m deep in curriculum planning, assessments, and borderline therapy sessions during office hours (students really do ask everything). Before this, I put in a solid year and a half at GIKI, wrangling advanced lab sessions. We dove into heavy stuff: AI basics, NLP, parallel computing, deep neural nets the works. That’s where I got my hands really dirty with practical machine learning and database wizardry.
Let’s talk Business. I’ve been writing Python since 2020 (and honestly, can’t imagine life without it), engineering machine learning models, and geeking out over clustering, NLP with tools like KeyBERT, and deep learning. My final year project? Built a system to recommend apps and automate app store optimization, used K-Means, cosine similarity, the whole shebang. It’s probably still buried somewhere on my GitHub, but hey, it worked!
If you’re into data science, I’ve been elbow-deep in spreadsheets and pandas dataframes for about three years. I once pulled off a massive freelance gig where I analyzed economic crises in 13 African countries over 150 years. Yeah, my brain hurt, but the insights slapped. Love turning messy data into slick visuals: heatmaps, dashboards, you name it.
On the database front, I’ve wrangled SQL across Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB, designed schemas, optimized queries, and even automated boring stuff with Python (web scraping, keyword extraction, the fun parts). Lately, I’m poking around with Large Language Models seeing how they can shake up app development and make things a bit more, well, sci-fi.
Tech stack? Python is my bread and butter, but I dabble in Java, C/C++, C#. Love Jupyter and Colab for quick experiments, and yeah, I’m certified by IBM in all the usual data science suspects.
Long story short: I mix the grind of grad school with hands-on hacking to build AI/ML solutions, slice and dice data, automate all the things, and explore whatever cool tech’s around the corner. If you want to talk shop, hit me up.
