Freelance Developer and Photographer
Ongoing freelance web development projects for clients that require front-end development, design, with the possibly of touching on php and database development. Staff Web Developer/Web Editor
As Web Editor I was responsible for taking all pieces from the print publication, posting them to our live site, formatting the content and creating a cohesive and beautiful design across the site. This included basic copy formatting, adding media (either visual or audio), and adjusting content where necessary. This position also included doing light social media work and keeping the configurations of content on the site from growing stale.

Senior Front-End Web Developer
Began working for this start-up company in its pre-launch stage; the website was merely a concept on paper. The designer and owners put together mockups and PSD files from which I built the entire front-end of the site from scratch. I also had the opportunity to work on testing skills including cross-browser platform testing. We had not grown enough as a company to hire a tester so working with the back-end PHP developer testing our own code was quite a challenge.
While the company has not had an opportunity to utilize all of the pages created, most have been published and updated as user feedback came in. Utilizing a large breadth of jQuery skills and creativity in this position than ever before gave me new appreciation for my craft and it was an exciting addition to my work life.

Web Developer/Designer/Writer: Marketing Team
A critical part of the Creative Services team within the Marketing Division. As the only dedicated developer, project owners looked to me for any and all coding needs. This ranged from simple updates to full micro-sites built from scratch. Most projects required heavy use of jQuery, HTML and CSS. I also began working with our writer as a backup resource as well as a with our designer as a backup if that need arose as well.

Part of a medium-sized development team that creates and maintains all front-end site development for Nordstrom.com and associated sub-sites. Developed HTML, CSS and javascript/jQuery products on a daily basis. Worked with designers, editors, and producers to continually update and improve the site based on vendors’ and company standards.

Senior Software Engineer/Java Developer: Email Team
Part of a small close-nit team whom completes several projects on a tri-weekly basis using Agile/Scrum software processes. Develop java-based dynamic tags and JSP pages critical to all email products. Generate personalized which increases the marketability of each project. Mentor fellow employees in India and Seattle to familiarize them with our specialized processes. Developed products based on design specs and content wireframes using hand-coded HTML and CSS for weekly, monthly, and yearly newsletters.
