Considering the ever increasing demand of fiber optic cables.[3] in the current mobile, internet and information technology era, optical fiber cable manufacturing plant is set up in a modern technology, which started commercial production from last July-2011. The company has been able to make profit every year and its yearly revenue in 2010 exceeded 1 billion taka.[4] Considering the widespread demand of HDPE Silicon Duct for setting optical fiber cable connection, the HDPE Silicon Duct Plant Plant is established in the year-, which is being fully run from last September'16. Work on construction of factory buildings to set up electric overhead conductor, service drop cable and bare / insulated wire making plant has been started at a cost of Tk. 24.16 crore for the purpose of production multiplication under its own funding. The work of evaluating international tender in the purchase of essential machinery, matching materials and service is in the final phase. Hopefully the plant will start in January 2019. EDUCATION Oct 2010 to Jul 2013 Khulna University of Engineering and Technology Khulna Department of Computer Science & Engineering ( CSE ) Department of Computer Science and Engineering of KUET, started its academic activities from September 26, 1999 with the aim of quality education as well as cutting edge researches in the branches of Computer Science and Engineering. The department regularly offers postgraduate (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) and undergraduate (B.Sc.) programs. Only top ranked brilliant students are enrolled in this department through a competitive admission test. At present, yearly intake of this department is around 160 including 120 fixed undergraduate intakes. The department has well equipped different laboratories and a System Development Centre to increase the expertise of students practically along with theoretical knowledge. Dept. of CSE has always been widely recognized for its excellent research and teaching capabilities. The main strength of the department is the talented faculty members who are dedicated in teaching and research. The faculty members conduct researches in distinguishing fields and outcomes are regularly published in different prestigious journals and conferences.
