A self-taught media and interaction designer, learned by myself through practicing, observation and doing, during the last 15 years, design was my career, either as a full time or part time, this helped me to try most of media design aspects which shaped me as a designer understands visual communication concepts.
Working mostly in art direction, I also practiced Branding, interaction design (or Human-centered design) which includes: Web design, User Interface design and User Experience design. Also practiced motion design which includes: cinematography, motion graphics and animation.
I would rather to say that I am able to transfer ideas through visual communication mediums, concept design skills is more important than practical skills, and the design would not mean anything if there is no concept behind it.
What I noticed is, it does not matter what you can do or what software you can use, but how you can make ideas become visually meaningful.
