GROUP CORPORATE AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS MANAGER (August 2017 - April 2020)

Lead efforts in developing official letters and public policy proposals to state authorities, regulators, and key business stakeholders. Conduct market research, create national regulatory reports and overviews of gambling taxation policies; analyses of national parliamentary sessions/work committees in charge of regulating gambling. Report directly to the Head of Group Corporate Affairs Department.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Managed Group’s IPO regulatory due diligence process – drafted Group - level policies, monthly management reports, preparing information and drafting the Long Form and Financial Positions and Prospects Procedure (FPPP) text from the corporate and regulatory line of work;

• Public tendering: led conclusion of consortium agreement with a US-based company, detailed market research for presenting the potential consortium partners the regulatory context, drafting policies and procedures, gathering statutory documentation and preparing the bid;

• VAT case study – research and overview of (non)applicability of Valued Added Tax in gambling services – continuous research and facts provided for external auditors’ management inquiries – comparative overview of the intersection of national and EU legislation and case law on the issue;

• Resolved the VAT case and helped remove the 77k EUR VAT liability non-applicable to the sector;

• Designed and implemented policies to achieve AML (anti-money laundering) and regulatory compliance;
