charts. Both startups with no web presence. The Nearco stack is Oracle PL/SQL and Python.
Rubberdesk. Integration of ChatGPT AI into office space search website.
ColourWorker. Developer: Java based Android mobile apps, Swift iOS apps, Wordpress,
Javascript/PHP/jQuery/React/Typescript web development, Java Spring Boot, RESTful APIs,
Git, Docker, AWS cloud management. ColourWorker aims at accurate colour measurement
using mobiles.
University of Sussex. Teaching Assistant for the Databases (SQL) and Adaptive Systems
courses responsible for all seminars, workshops and marking.
University of Sussex. Senior Research Fellow focusing on A.I. design of reliable electronics
and transistor level hardware controllers for autonomous robots. Technology areas: Java,
stochastic optimisation, distributed computing, C++, performance optimisation, data analysis,
LAMP, AWS cloud management, NodeJS. The distributed system collated data from
thousands of global nodes into an SQL database and presented it in live graphs showing
several layers of complex analysis.
The Camden Society. Part time music interventions tutor for people with learning disabilities
at the Riverside Day Centre.
Rubberdesk. Web developer/designer for the “AirBNB of office space”: rubberdesk.com . The
website was LAMP based using JQuery, AJAX, Javascript, PHP, PEAR, MySQL, Twitter
Bootstrap, Google Maps API, CSS, HTML 5, AWS cloud management.
IG Index. L2 Front End Team Leader. Managed a team of six developing a C# .NET
Winforms real time trading application used by IG’s internal trading floor and large clients
retrieving, analysing and presenting live data. Skills developed: Team management,
negotiating requirements, under-promising and over-delivering, delivering to deadlines, short &
long term planning, on feet thinking.
UBS. Bid Offer Machine (BOM) Project Manager and previously Fusion Europe C# Developer.
BOM is used in every UBS office across the globe requiring careful deployment procedures.
Fusion combines, analyses, enriches and presents diverse real time data sources to
salespeople and traders. Interpreting this data is key to trading decision making. Skills
developed: Liaising and drawing consensus from diverse business needs, data analysis, team
& project management, timely delivery, negotiating requirements, teamwork.
Morgan Stanley. Completed an intensive four month Graduate Training Programme and
then joined the Fixed Income Application Development Group. Skills developed: working
under pressure in diverse culture, working as part of a team.
University of Sussex. Teaching assistant for Java programming course. Skills developed:
public speaking, tutoring, assessing & pushing student's ability, balancing marking workload
with PhD research.
