Hey there! 👋 I'm Michelle, a content strategist with 7+ years creating compelling travel and lifestyle content using data and SEO expertise. I've also built communities with thousands of engaged members for tech, hospitality, entertainment, and consumer brands, driving growth and engagement.

My journey started as the Jonas Brothers Street Team's intern, where I built their website and Myspace page. From there, I ventured into radio and travel blogging before diving into TV, where I learned storytelling from shows like Riverdale and Marvel's Agent Carter, and worked cross-functionally for 14 years between production, post, studio, and network.

As a solo entrepreneur, I founded the Nerd Out app, which promoted 5,000+ pop culture events weekly to 90k+ fans in 75 cities across the US, UK, and Canada. While honing my skills in brand awareness, event promotion, community management, and email marketing, I secured collaborations with Disney Home Video, Allied Global Marketing, Hot Topic, and more.

Since Nerd Out closed, I've worked with several brands in various community management roles on a part-time basis before leaving TV officially in March 2022. I then transitioned to Director of Marketing and Community at franki, a video-based review app. There, I led a team that increased the growth of their creator community by 375%, quadrupled video creation, and increased influencer engagement.

I've since dove back into the world of travel blogging. After reviving my site from a 4-year lapse, 150+ posts on travel destinations now attract tens of thousands of monthly visitors. I'm part of Amazon, GetYourGuide, Stay22, and TravelPayouts affiliate programs as well as the Mediavine ad network.

I've contributed to articles on HuffPost UK, Travel + Leisure, USA TODAY 10Best, The Washington Post, Yahoo! Shopping, AOL, The Manual, The Takeout, 2GB Sydney, and GOBankingRates.

This work led to freelance opportunities with AAA as an SEO content writer.
