ACHIEVEMENTS
1. Successfully organized a cross-sectional safety training for contractors working in my
section on how to deal with risks and hazards emanating from the job and the host
communities. This was picked up by Management and later implemented across all
sections as a periodic training alongside the routine toolbox meetings.
2. As a proactive measure to complete project on time, I compiled all permits and
training required of my contractors in relation to the activities we were carrying out.
With the help of the Safety Rep. for my section, I was able to complete all permitting
procedures ahead to time which helped the construction activities to be completed with
a 24-day Lead time.
3. Through proper negotiations and communications, I was able to carry out clearing
activities on several farms for the project to commence before payments were made to
the affected farmers. This was during the early COVID-19 era where project funds were
not coming in but work had to go on.
