About

I am an award-winning journalist, presenter and documentary filmmaker who has worked for the BBC in London and GMA Network in Manila.

I have been a presenter and reporter for episodes of the BBC World Service radio programmes The Compass and World Hacks, and have produced episodes of Profile for BBC Radio 4. I have also done two-way interviews for other international media networks such as Canada’s CBC News.

My firsthand report of the Supertyphoon Haiyan in 2013 was part of the GMA News collective entry that won the prestigious George Foster Peabody award. I also write, present/report documentaries on social issues, such as 2013's Brigada documentary Gintong Krudo which garnered several awards, including the Silver World Medal at the New York Festivals and the One World Award from the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers.

I have also previously served as a Junior Jock for Magic 89.9 FM radio in Manila, and have training in Theatre.

I am currently a Senior Lecturer teaching documentary production at the University of the Philippines and occasionally speak at student media forums.
