Melissa Vargas

I am by profession, a certified public accountant (CPA) in the Philippines. I have been working for various private companies - a sugar manufacturer, a retail business, a construction corporation, and recently, a BPO company. My work experiences have trained me well in bookkeeping, generating financial statements, inventory management, and internal audit. Although I am an accountant, writing is also my life. Professionally, I have used this skill in creating marketing plans, reviewing contracts, and writing decision analyses for my bosses.

My main skill is creative writing, and I have written a collection of short stories, poems, articles, essays, speeches, messages, content for many people offline but have limited experience online, except continuous membership to poetry and writing websites. I also have experience in translating, having translated three SALT (Seven Areas of Life Training) booklets from English into our native Hiligaynon language.

I am proud to say I am a fun writer and a heartbreaking one if I need to be, with a unique approach to everything that I write. I believe a writer has the power to affect emotions, not only to inform but to make the reader happy, sad, angry, and afraid. Creating what my clients want to create is my ultimate goal — excited to work with you!
