Melis Meyer-Gümüs

I am currently writing my bachelor thesis in the field of translation studies. I expect to complete my studies at the end of June 2020.

In addition to my studies of translation science, I have been working as a working student in the field of quality assurance at the company beo GmbH in Stuttgart. There I worked with various CAT tools (Across, Trados Studio and Transit).

I completed my mandatory internship at Transcripta Ltd. in Malta. My tasks included quality assurance of texts, translations, revisions and the training of new interns. For my work I used, among other things, the software of MS Office. Since then I have been working as an external translator for Transcripta Ltd.

German and Turkish are my native languages. My other languages include English and French.

My positive qualities include the ability to work in a team, independent and purposeful work. In addition, I offer practical experience in the translation of advertising texts, official and legal documents.
