The Young Friendly Cities Index (GDKE) project is a project with the support of the Consulate General
of Sweden in Istanbul from March 2016 to March 2018. The project, funded by the Habitat Association
and the Association for Dialogue for a Common Future (OGDD), aims to raise awareness on the
basis of capacity development, participation rights, inclusion of young people in local decision making
processes, increasing their sense of belonging to their cities, creating more livable cities for young
people and ensuring young people's participation is sustainable . In this context, aims to prepare

platforms in which central and local governments can discuss the problems of local youth and develop
solution proposals in the light of the needs of young people who can see their needs and priorities.
For this purpose, the project provided data-based support to the project through a questionnaire study
in 21 different cities, investigating the goodness of youth. The current situation of the young people
has been determined through research that reveals the situation of the working age, the household,
the health to the use of the media, and many other young people.
Project envoys also played an active role in the survey implementation, in which many topics related
to young people were examined. Also during 2014, goodwill conventions signed to mayor candidates
during the campaign period, supported by the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul, were
checked using the fact-checking method. What the mayors did to become "young friends" was
checked by the work of the ambassadors.
The cities determined within the scope of the project; Adana, Aydin, Bartın, Bingol, Denizli, Elazığ,
Eskişehir, Kayseri, Kırklareli, Muş, Samsun, Siirt, Izmir / Bornova and Istanbul / Kartal. In addition to
these cities, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Erzurum, Manisa, Tekirdag and Trabzon are planned to carry out
survey studies and other project activities.
In the light of the results of the questionnaire and Habitat and OGDD compiled on the current situation
of youth data / cities, local workshops will be organized in each project province and active
participation of the project delegates will be ensured in this process. During the workshops, it will be
discussed how the local actors and young people of the city come together and present a current
situation where the problems of the cities are identified in the light of the studies and solve these
problems. so that your youth will have an active relationship with local decision-makers.

Design of on-site automatic loading unloading ramp system
In this project, we tried to find internal logistics solutions as a team. there were 6 teams trying to solve
this problem. Solving the problems at our case was our main goal.
the design we made in this competition was entitled to second prize.
this competition was organized by international companies philip morris and arçelik.

7 - 10 october 2018 social cooperative hackathon
A hackathon was organized for the purpose of disseminating social cooperatives that provide a social
benefit. As a result of this contest, we became the second team to win the competition. Our project; to
increase the qualifications of teachers, to establish a cooperative to train teachers in accordance with
the needs of the 21st century.

a training course was organized in the city of timişoara in romania to bring together non-governmental
organizations and youth workers to produce projects. As a result of this training course, an online
