I am a highly dedicated and passionate teacher who has 5 years
teaching experience. I have taught English as a First Additional
Language to learners between Grade 4-6. Some of my
achievements are producing learners who have done well in
competitions like Spelling Bee, Public Speaking and Social
Sciences Olympiad. I am very passionate about teaching children and it makes me proud to
know that I play a part in making learners global citizens that will change the world for the
better. I believe that learners should be developed holistically. My goal in every lesson is to
impart knowledge to learners academically and in real life situations.

Head of Department ( English (Grade 4-6), Social
Sciences (Grade 5-6), Dr Nhlapo Primary School, South Africa. The learners in Grade 4
have improved their academic performance since I started teaching here. I am in charge
of English FAL (Grade 4-7), Life Skills (Grade 4-6), Creative Arts (Grade 7) As I have
been the Head of Department the pass percentage has improved, especially in English
and Life Skills. I currently coach soccer and athletics both to boys and girls.
2. 02/2013 – 07/2017
Teacher (English (Grade 5-6), Social Sciences (Grade 47), Life Orientation (Grade 7), IsiZulu (Grade 4-7), Lufhereng Primary School, South
Africa. I managed to teach English and IsiZulu to learners who came from different
cultural backgrounds and countries like Mozambique, Lesotho and Zimbabwe. I had to
change my teaching strategies in order to accommodate these learners and in a few
months they all achieved better results in these languages.
3. 03/2017 – current job
End User in Computing Trainer (EUC)/ Part time
(Computer training especially in Microsoft Office packages, Scibono and Department of
Education, South Africa. I am responsible of teaching government teachers on how to
use a computer and how technology can be used to enhance teaching and learning in the
classroom. The teachers I teach learn fast and some of them are comfortable in using
their knowledge in the classroom.

Interests and skills
I was a volunteer at Ikamva Youth from- where I taught learners and assisted
learners from Grade 4-12 with their homework on Saturdays.
I am part of the soccer coaching staff at Dr Nhlapo Primary School and I coach both
boys and girls aged 7-14. I also coach athletics throughout the year.

I like researching a lot, especially topics about education and which strategies I can use to
improve my style of teaching to improve my teaching.
I also research on effective discipline skills and classroom management skills.
I have a thorough knowledge of curriculum and other standards that I need to uphold in
the classroom.
I have a strong rapport with learners and I always make it a point that I establish a
trusting relationship between me and the learners.
