My background and work experience are primarily in business and marketing, however, I have developed other skills over the past few years. I graduated from California State University-Chico in 2013 with a B.S. in Business administration with an option in entrepreneurship and small business management. I graduated with honors and Cum Laude.
I have in the past year decided to focus my energy on SEO and starting my own SEO agency, Max Made Marketing. I have acquired thorough knowledge in conducting professional SEO audits, developing local and national SEO strategies, as well as content creation strategies. I was able to take this knowledge and within two weeks of launching my website I was ranked number 1 locally in my city for SEO services.
Before my latest endeavor...
In my final year of university and the year succeeding it, I developed my own web start-up to beta phase testing. I pitched the idea to investors and was received seed round funding for the project. It was with this endeavor that I really began to hone my skills of management, creative thinking, and discipline, as well as really gaining an appreciation for the dedication it takes to be successful.
I was later hired as a marketing director for a non-profit organization called the American International Education Foundation (AIEF). As the marketing director, I wore many hats. I was the main point of contact for all of our clients which were both US educational institutions as well as foreign educational institutions. AIEF hosted bi-annual education fairs in South Korea and Taiwan were I managed and coordinated the events. We hosted Chinese students both on long and short-term programs where I would teach English to the groups. I helped to maintain/update our website and social media accounts. I developed and proposed new marketing strategies for the CEO of the foundation. We also published a bi-annual magazine called US Campus Guide which was a free resource for prospective international students to the US. I wrote, sourced, compiled, and edited the articles for the magazine. It was in this role where I really honed on my abilities to be able to manage the responsibility that had a great impact on the organization.
