“History & Culture in a few
Hours”
Despite realizing how out of shape I am, I
was enlightened with the Paisa history and
culture on this tour. Moe was very
knowledgeable, spoke fluent English and
Spanish, and was very patient staying with
me when I fell behind from the pack going up
some steep hills.

My time with Target was very rewarding as it drilled into to me the importance of teamwork and
client services. For all the negative that can be said about the retail business, it was a truly positive
experience for me in my formative years and ultimately, it’s the work ethic and values I developed
there that I use every day as a leader.

I took time off between the end of August 2008 and January 2009. I decided to see
the country on a road trip that looped us from Boston, west towards Pennsylvania
then south through California, driving east, through Texas, and then back to Boston
driving north through DC. Three friends and I did this while part of an indie rock band,
playing shows everywhere we stayed. Easily one of the best experiences in my life
and what sparked my thirst for travel.
One of my favorite experiences during the trip was being in New Orleans the week of
Halloween which subsequently led into Barack Obama’s presidential win the week after.
So much fun!
I returned home just before Thanksgiving and spent the holidays with my family while I
looked for employment.

Interests I have always been artistically inclined. I am a musician and have played in
groups since I was 14. Expressing myself through music was something that was strongly
encouraged and supported by my local Boys and Girls Club. It had led me to some great
friends and a few indie touring opportunities that helped me see more of the United States
and sparked my passion for travel!
In addition, Cycling has always been a passion of mine, one which I’ve successfully turned
into my living in adventure tourism!
