Matt founded Civic Mark in early 2021 with the goal of empowering mission-driven organizations to maximize their impact.
Matt is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit and public sector consultant who is passionate about supporting projects that promote economic mobility and improved quality of life in communities across the United States.
He has worked with nonprofits, municipalities, tribal enterprises, social enterprises, and small to medium-sized businesses to win nearly $10 million in competitive grant funding and over $700 million in state government contracts. Matt has written successful federal, state, corporate, nonprofit, and foundation proposals. These grants have ranged from economic, community, and workforce development to public safety, social services, education, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and technology development. He particularly enjoys program design, fund development, asset-based community development, strategic planning, and facilitating collaborative governance strategies.
Matt is currently pursuing an MPA in Innovation and Social Change at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. He received his Bachelor’s from Indiana University in Indianapolis with a focus on Civic Leadership.
