I have served the Government of Pakistan wef 1.1.1992 in Survey of Pakistan in different capacities at different locations during more than thirty one year career service. During this period I have done numerous jobs/projects.  During my early years of service I remained employed on field activities s.a Topographic survey, control survey , Cantonment area survey and mapping. After five years of service I was engaged in office administration, procurement, technical matters and training related activities. During the period I acquired two qualifications viz: one from Australia and other from Japan . Apart from this I have attended no. of workshops/seminars/conferences and other short courses locally and overseas right from data collection to planning and management of national mapping organizations. I have administered no. of other important jobs such as Control survey , topographic mapping, forest mapping , cadastral mapping , International border relocation survey and mapping etc. I retired from the Survey of Pakistan in 2023**.**

JOB/ROLE /RESPONSIBITIES of Director in Survey of Pakistan

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple surveying and mapping projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client expectations.

Field Crew Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate field crews engaged in surveying and mapping activities.
  • Provide guidance on fieldwork methodologies, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection.

Technology Integration:

  • Stay abreast of the latest surveying and mapping technologies and software.
  • Implement cutting-edge tools and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the quality control process for surveying and mapping data, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement best practices to enhance data accuracy and reliability.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that all surveying and mapping activities comply with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and advocate for compliance within the team.

Client Relations:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and address client concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Team Leadership:

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for surveying and mapping team members.

Coordination:

·        To make proper coordination in order to ensure the safety and security of survey crew and equipment, with all stake holders and law enforcement agencies.

·        To work as a bridge between provincial and federal geospatial authority.
