Mary Oghenemaro Akpan

I am a certified Mathematics and Basic Science teacher with 10+ years teaching experience. I possess extensive experience in delivering curriculum of any country across key stages of primary and secondary education. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of how different learners acquire knowledge hence my different teaching methods. My teaching is grounded in a student-centered approach, with a strong emphasis on fostering critical thinking, creativity and practical application of knowledge acquired in class.

For my qualifications, I have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree (Mathematics and Economics) and PGD in Education (Mathematical Methods). This has helped me in aligning my lesson plans, assessments and instructional methods with national curriculum objectives.

In addition, I have experience in preparing students for key national examinations. I integrate both formative and summative assessments into my teaching to monitor learning progress and adapt my strategies to meet individual student needs.

I am proficient in utilizing modern teaching aids, digital tools, collaboration tools and inclusive strategies to enhance learner engagement and academic achievement. I am also committed to continuous professional development and regularly participate in workshops, seminars and more to keep me updated with educational trends and changes.
