Responsibilities: Oversaw the daily operation of a 90-day shelter, including a team of 28 staff members,
numerous volunteers, and a resident population of 250 homeless individuals. Participated in the
evaluation of residents, working closely with case managers to ensure compliance with individual plans
and goals of individuals dealing with substance abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, and trauma.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate support staff and establish work schedules for all full-time, part-time
time and PRN employees. Assess staffing needs and planned and coordinated appropriate training.
Assisted the Director of Homeless and Housing Services in planning, administering, and controlling the
shelter operating budget. Developed and managed appropriate reporting mechanisms to maintain
financial records. Prepared reports and statistical documents in accordance with local, state, and federal
mandates. Provided oversight to the Kitchen Manager and kitchen staff in planning, purchasing, and
preparing resident meals in compliance with the State of Maryland regulations. Maintained and

and chore list; oversaw the compliance of shelter residents. Provided conflict resolution services for both

soup kitchen, the outreach budget, volunteer staff, and supplies from supporting churches, organizations,
