I am a software engineer by profession who began his career as a web developer then subsequently transitioned into developing apps and services on the Apple platform. I have had a good run at my first job as an engineer at Andela, where I obtained most of my professional experience. I have contributed to an open source project.
EXPERIENCE
Software Engineer, Safaricom PLC May 2018 — Present.
Through the efforts of Andela I was able to work as an iOS developer at Safaricom. During this time period I have been part of efforts to revamp the mySafaricom app using native Swift code. I have also contributed to the Safaricom Home app which is currently live on the app store. My responsibilities while working on this app include designing the architecture of the app, deployments to Appstore connect, building out new features from scratch and troubleshooting issues and crashes.
Software Engineer, Andela Kenya 2017 — Present.

Software Engineer, WEconnect Recovery — Sep. 2017 - Dec 2017
Through the efforts of Andela I was able to work as an intern for this company for a period of 3 months. During this time period I gained a number of skills acquired during my initial training as an iOS developer such design patterns like MVC and MVVM, test driven development, converting legacy code written in Objective-C to Swift.
