Marly Espiritu is an educator, teaching kindergarten learners that taught her to pay attention to every details and gives her patience in doing her work. Her work as an educator also taught her to do multitasking.
She works in DepEd Masbate City Division in a regular teaching position. Aside from being an employee of a government agency, she does some book illustrations for children’s storybooks. She’s an artist at heart that makes expressive****illustration that appeals to the sensory of the children.
****She has participated in illustrating storybooks for children. Two of her illustrated books where finalist in the National Storybook Writing Competition of the Department of Education, wherein she competed as illustrator/graphic artist. Recently, she worked with Lets Read Asia Philippines as one of their illustrators. ****
As an artist, she continues to learn new things about arts and design. She is now into digital arts and she is learning new methods in illustrating and designing. She usually use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro for her illustrations and designs and now she is learning how to use photoshop and illustrator.
Her inclination towards digital arts is given a boost when she got qualified to be a trainee for the DigitalJobsPH Technical Training – Graphics Design, a project of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (https://dict.gov.ph/).
She aims to develop her skills at digital arts and designs and do some freelancing works. As an artist, she wants to give her clients an expressive designs and illustrations that will entice and trigger their sensory reactions. She warmly welcomes her clients who will need her products and services. She is optimistic that she can make your brands that are socially relevant to her clients’ needs.
****She loves reading books. She also a fan of manga, a Japanese comic book and dreams to be a manga artist. She uses the things that she has read in doing her work. She also loves to travel in and out of the country and enjoys immersing herself with the different culture to the places she had been. ****
