A small sample of the more recognizable clients I've worked with: Genentech, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Sloan Kettering, UTMB, OHSU, Fred Hutch, Roche, and many more. Some of the start-ups I've worked with more directly are listed below with the tag -outsourced. PREMIER BIOSOFT-OUTSOURCED – Portland, OR - VP Sales and Marketing ● ● Contracted to integrate a recent acquisition in proteomics analysis and visualization software Managed all aspects of integration including sales, marketing, staff training, customer retention, etc. Mark Pitman / RESUME Page | 2 ● ● ● Trained and managed four direct reports in India and one in the US. Met or exceeded all targets we set for revenue and lead generation. Quota for software sales was $240K, and my team brought in $320K. Worked with key clients to insure products continued to exceed requirements, oversee product implementation, and find new ways to collaborate on existing or future products. ENLIS GENOMICS-OUTSOURCED – Portland, OR - VP Sales and Marketing ● ● ● ● Contracted with the founder of Enlis to acquire more customers and grow revenue. Managed all aspects of sales, marketing, and customer success. Target I set based on market research was $300K year 1. After 10 months of several different strategies it became clear that, although Enlis had a great variant analysis product, Qiagen was winning the competitive battle for product sales. I left the company amicably to save them the expense of my salary. OMIXON-OUTSOURCED – Portland, OR - Sales and Marketing Director ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Education Omixon is a genomics software provider based in Hungary. Their software maps and validates SNPs and other variant types for HT-Seq analysis. Contracted to develop a go to market strategy for a read mapping and analysis product they were developing. Acquired the initial 20 pilot clients for beta testing the software. I decided to focus on the commercial segment vs academic for our initial push, so these clients were a mix of different biopharma companies. Brought the testing feedback to our board. After the initial feedback we switched our focus to HT Seq for HLA target analysis for molecular diagnostics labs. Acquired new partners for development of the new product – Association of Molecular Pathologists, Stanford Clinical Genetics Lab and others. Managed all aspects of the go-to-market product launch. First year sales of $800K. 2nd year sales of $1.8 million. In 2013 the board in Hungary started implementing changes that would take the company in a direction that would leave a lot of our customers in the lurch. I decided to to renew my contract. BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY – Boise, ID 1998 JOHNS HOPKINS/COURSERA 2013 BA in Business Administration. Major in Marketing, Minored in Biology. Data Science Certificate in Genomics Analysis
