2. Closing alerts in system based on satisfactory review as a result of due diligence checks of customer’s transactions based on KYC profile as well as risk factors considered involving customer’s counterparties.
3. Creating cases for request for customer’s information for doubtful transactions that need clarification. Questions based on customer’s transactions are drafted and checked by level 2 compliance to be send to relationship managers based as per business segment.
4. Requesting CDD updates for customer’s whose KYC profile in bank records are beyond 1 year.
5. New customers and existing customers are checked if there are existing STR(suspicious transactions report) record as well as hits in world check system(fircosoft).
6. Direct Escalations done to level 2 compliance for further review/conclusion if customer has existing STR record if current transactions are in line with customer’s KYC profile and same pattern as previous reason for STR. In case of new pattern of transactions or not in line with KYC profile of customer, new request for information(RFI) to be created and referred back to relationship managers.
7. Public domain/internet searches also done for customers and its counterparties for profiling and adverse information that affects decision of alerts.
8. PEP(politically exposed person) checks also done for customer and its counterparties. If customer is found PEP in public domain and not tagged in bank system as PEP, request is being done for PEP review by level 2 compliance.
9. Ensure that alerts assigned in queue are reviewed and disposed off(closed) before close of business day.
