When people ask me about my work, I like to say that I make things easier for people, whether that means organizing information, creating content, or helping projects run smoothly. Over the past ten years, I have built a career that blends data management, research, communication, and creative work, and I have enjoyed every step of it.
I started in the field of education and advocacy, where I worked closely with communities, students, and partner organizations. In that role, I realized how important it was to have clear systems and organized records. I managed databases, wrote reports, and kept project files updated so that everyone had the information they needed. This taught me that behind every successful project is someone making sure the details are in order.
Later, I moved into healthcare-related projects and data research. I collected, reviewed, and organized large sets of information with accuracy and confidentiality. It required a sharp eye for detail and a lot of patience, but I found satisfaction in creating order out of complexity. During this time, I also developed strong skills in using Google Workspace tools like Sheets, Docs, and Drive to streamline workflows and keep everything accessible for the teams I worked with.
At the same time, I explored more creative work. I started writing ad copy and scripts for short-form social media videos, which let me use words to connect with audiences in fresh and engaging ways. I also discovered Canva and began using it to design simple but effective visuals, presentations, and content layouts. Blending visuals with words became one of my favorite tasks because it combined creativity with communication.
I also spent time in customer service, handling chat and call support for employee benefits. That experience showed me the importance of empathy and clear communication. More recently, I have done chat support for subscription-based platforms, where building relationships and keeping conversations natural are key. These roles allowed me to use not just professionalism, but also humor and warmth to keep interactions engaging.
Looking back, my career has always been about connection. I connect data into systems, connect ideas into stories, and connect with people through conversations. I value structure, but I also believe in adding a personal touch to everything I do. And no matter how the day unfolds, one thing always sets it in motion: a good cup of coffee.
