For over a decade, I have built a solid and diverse career spanning accounting, financial planning, forecasting, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. Since 2013, I have embraced roles that demanded precision, analytical thinking, integrity, and resilience—qualities that have shaped me into a results-driven finance professional with a strong command of both corporate and operational finance.
I began my journey in payroll and accounting operations, where I learned the importance of accuracy, timeliness, and process discipline. These early roles exposed me to the realities of frontline finance—manually checking time records, coordinating payouts, and managing accounts payable—experiences that grounded me and strengthened my attention to detail. From there, I expanded into income auditing and eventually transitioned into broader, more strategic roles.
My career significantly evolved as I became a finance analyst, supporting corporate expense financial planning, P&L and balance sheet analysis, workforce optimization, and operational excellence. For six years, I was deeply involved in building and sustaining 98% performance metrics from start-up to maturity. I specialized in cleaning and security expense P&L, balance sheet reconciliation, reclassification, and journal entry preparation. This experience honed my ability to manage complex financial data and produce insights that drive decision-making.
I continued to expand my skill set by becoming a general accountant in a global shared-services environment, mastering ERP tools such as Oracle Hyperion, SAP, NAVision, Xero, QuickBooks, and accounting automation platforms like Tipalti and FloQast. I later took on mergers and acquisitions analysis, working with a U.S. pest control M&A firm in 2023. That exposure deepened my understanding of valuation, financial modeling, and deal analysis, and it opened new doors toward a finance career focused on strategy and growth.
Currently, I work as an FP&A Analyst supporting multiple SaaS clients, creating dashboards and financial reports for P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow with monthly, YTD, and MoM metrics. I am also building expertise in Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel as I prepare for the CFA designation—my long-term goal to further elevate my financial leadership capabilities.
Beyond the technical expertise, my journey is shaped by resilience. As a single mother and the sole provider for my family, I carry the responsibility of caring for my children, parents, and extended family. My purpose goes beyond career advancement—I aim to uplift others quietly, through education, support, and acts of service. My faith, discipline, and drive continue to guide me as I pursue excellence in everything I do.
