Maria Estevez Gonzalez

I am a native Spanish speaker from Spain with a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Master's Degree in Spanish Linguistics. The four-year Bachelor´s program completed in Salamanca (Spain) was aimed at the acquisition of professional translation, cultural mediation, and competence in multilingual and multicultural settings. Throughout the program, I acquired experience translating several types of documents, which include scientific and technical domains, the legal and business field and the industry of culture, literature, and the media.I obtained a Master’s Degree in Spanish from Illinois State with a concentration in Spanish Linguistics. During the master’s degree program, I was required to do coursework on the phonological, morphological, and syntactic structure of the Spanish language, as well as its history, sociolinguistics, and acquisition as a second language.
