Naucalpan De Juarez, México,--Marco Soria is a precursor in Mexico of digital painting and flat illustration. His visual
compositions range from illustration and digital art to applied arts. "My main priority is
color," says Marco. "The underlying meaning of the work is labor of my unconscious,
so I don't worry too much about it; Unless there is an inflexible premise on the part of
my client".
Marco Soria's art has been presented in several galleries and museums around the
world since 2003, among which stand out: Centro Cultural del México
Contemporáneo, Eigen + Art and El Museo Universitario de Ciencias y Arte.
Currently Marco is hard at work on a new series of compositions that will festively
color the retina of anyone who allows himself to be caught..

My work is divided into 2 areas: illustration and digital painting. One is
objective and goes according to the client's desire. The other is subjective
and goes according to the desire of the performer (artist). For several years I
have been working on illustrations and digital art for different clients. Basically
my way of working is: I choose more or less the number of projects I want to
do during the year and I spread them out in such a way that I have time, I
don't rush and both the client and I are happy.
My work ranges from illustrating a book, making a poster, etc., to selling my
signed work. (which is very personal).

My job was to check that there was consistency, effectiveness, creativity and
coherence in all the graphic and multimedia design used for the different
marketing campaigns launched by Satya Creative Haus. This means:
functional and aesthetic review of illustrations, banners, video editing,
photography, visual impact, slogans; etc.
What this company was looking for was to generate valuable leads and then
sell them to third parties, or use them for their own benefit. The main metrics
we used to measure the success of a campaign were engagement and
reach.

I have been very fond of teaching for some time now. I believe that a good
teacher is one who is able to synthesize complex information and make it
practical. A good teacher can make the difference between loving a subject
or hating it.
I have worked hand in hand with institutions like CENTRO (one of the best
design schools in Mexico) and art and culture center (CDMX).
A remarkable experience was the Discourse on aesthetics and beauty in the
digital age, which consisted in showing in a clear and transparent way to the
students, how digital colors such as RGB (for example), have been modifying
little by little the way we perceive reality and art.
We are currently living in a grandiose era where the visual arts are
experiencing a brutal de-stagnation after the long-lasting conceptual art. The
new software and the new way of trading art (NFT's), make these times
extremely fruitful and promising for anyone who wants to jump on the
bandwagon.

play piano, guitar, read, walk with my dog, music
production; and so on
I like to play piano and guitar to de-stress; whether I play something by the
strokes or something of my own. My favorite author is Hermann Hesse, I like
books with high symbolic and transcendental content.
Going for a walk with my dog is always like a breath of fresh air, it makes me
feel alive. Producing music and mixing it is another of my hobbies; I love all the
tools available in music production: equalizers, compressors, saturators, digital
consoles, etcetera.
I also like to do power walk.
