Before recent budget cuts in Ngo work in Lebanon, I was the Beirut office Communication Manager for a german multinational NGO called Friedrich Ebert Stiftung for the past 7 years. Besides the administrative and PR aspects, I was in charge of setting the strategies to promote our work and mandate which involved all forms of mass media productions to advocate for our socio-political agenda. I was planning, concept creating, content writing, and managing the execution of large scale projects including an internationally acclaimed feature film, a socio-political Television talk-show on the leading national channel LBCI, podcasts, and executed big concerts to target the younger generations. I also worked on rebranding and re-inventing our identity in the region involving a total makeover of the organization, which has been operating in Lebanon for more than 55 years, from relocating and redesigning the concept of our offices and services to finding new local Ngos to partner with and support, which had helped us opening up to the generations that will drive the country in the near future
For the past seven years, I served as the Communication Manager at the Beirut office of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, a German multinational NGO. In addition to overseeing administrative and PR functions, I was responsible for developing strategies to promote our mission and work. This involved a wide range of mass media productions to advocate for our socio-political agenda. My role included planning, concept creation, content writing, and managing the execution of large-scale projects such as an internationally acclaimed feature film, a socio-political television talk show on Lebanon’s leading national channel LBCI, podcasts, and major concerts aimed at engaging younger generations.
I also played a key role in rebranding and redefining our identity in the region, overseeing a comprehensive organizational overhaul. This included relocating and redesigning our office spaces, revamping our services, and forging new partnerships with local NGOs. These initiatives helped us connect with the younger generations poised to shape the future of the country, while also strengthening our presence in Lebanon, where we’ve been active for over 55 years.
