Drafting any item required under the contracts (either with the client or with subcontractors).
Resolving contractual and commercial risks and disputes as and when they arise.
Providing legal advice on the terms of the contracts.
Attending to all contractual I commercial needs for the Projects Department
Draft and send all relevant and necessary contractual and commercial correspondence
Drafting all notices and correspondences as required by contracts to the client or to subcontractor
Drafting relevant notices and correspondences when an issue arises on site which has a commercial contractual impact
Drafting responses to notices and correspondence received from Clients or from Subcontractors.
Draft all claims to Clients in accordance with the contract (notice of claim and particulars of claim),
Draft responses to Subcontractor claims in accordance with the relevant contract,
Assist with any adjudications and arbitrations either with the client or with subcontractors,
Assist with briefing attorneys in respect of any legal issues or litigation that arises,
Assist with the drafting of certain procurement contracts for projects,
Assist with amendments or variations to subcontracts and related variation orders,
Keeping an up to date register of all commercial and contractual issues, notices & claims,
Provide general advice on the terms of the contract,
Attend to commercial or contractual issues that arise on a day to day basis,
Ensure that contractual actions are taken within the required time periods (i.e prevent time barring),
Ensure familiarity with the terms of the contract(s),
Raise any potential contractual risks.
