I work as a freelance content writer, editor and
proofreader for clients in Austria, the UK and the US. I
specialise in writing clear and concise content for
German-speaking clients working in the English
marketplace. I help these clients to find an English
voice which appeals to international customers while
still sounding recognisably like their business.
I also have niches in education and in marketing for
hotels, tourism and gastronomy.

Kindergarten Assistant at Vienna English
Preschool - 2015 /16
- Taught English to children from 1 - 6 in a
language immersion environment
Freelance English Teacher - 2014/15
Reservations and Marketing Manager - The
Ardgowan Hotel and Playfair's Restaurant (St
Andrews) 2013/14
- Took responsibility for all online content for the
hotel and restaurant and worked to reposition the
business as a modern, boutique destination with
an active role in the local festival community
- Launched the businesses on Facebook, Twitter
and Instagram, created a blog, and planned a long
term content strategy to grow the audience and

INTERESTS AND SIDE PROJECTS
- I bake almost every day
- I go for a morning run whenever I can
- I knit to switch my brain off in the evenings
- I write for fun, take classes in screenwriting and
publish original articles on Medium (mairibunce).
I've also been published in the fantastic Potluck
Zine
- I run Salzkammergut Kids, a website, blog and
Instagram account in which I hope to show families
with young children that the Austrian lake district is
a great place to go on holiday (and that there's
more to do here than hiking the big mountains)
