Maeve Louise B. Ortega

Recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Management from Bulacan State University in the Philippines, it is with great enthusiasm that I am writing to express my intent to apply for the Legal Assistant in your firm.

As you can see from my curriculum vitae, I have the skills and qualities, necessary to be a successful addition to this firm as I was honed based on my experiences. And since I became a volunteer intern at the Commission on Human Rights Regional Office III in the Philippines, I am an eager advocate for human rights and those belonging to the marginalized sector. Furthermore, I drafted several resolutions, some of which are highly profiled cases, reviewed various cases, and assisted in several e-lawyering where I talked to clients about their legal concerns. I had my internship too at the Regional Trial Court where I reviewed cases both from (active) Civil and Criminal cases and did the minutes of the meeting while the hearing is ongoing. I was also tasked to arrange the calendar for each week of the cases up for a trial.

The possibility of participating in a structured firm, primarily working with various responsibilities in the legal field is an exciting prospect to further cater my knowledge and understanding as an individual. Applying herein would allow me to contribute substantively to the work of your office while strengthening the skills I will need for a career. As I recently finished being a volunteer intern at CHR-III and in Regional Trial Court for my internship as well as I recently graduated from my degree program, it allowed me to capture the real essence of working with diverse social people who can co-establish excellent professional working relationships bounded by completely admirable principles learned from education and experience and helped me to develop core competencies in writing and speaking in the area and discipline of social sciences such as law, politics, culture, and humanities.
