Work Experience
Currently serving as an Application Engineer in Rapid Prototyping at IME Trading, I specialize in additive manufacturing for the medical and aerospace industries. I lead research on new materials, develop project cost structures, and provide technical support for Stratasys 3D printers. My role involves training diverse clients in 3D printing technologies, including design for additive manufacturing (DFAM).
Previously, as an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer at Sapura Secured Technologies, I contributed to defense projects. Key responsibilities included designing 3D models using SolidWorks, developing packaging, and performing environmental tests to MIL-STD 810G and MIL-STD 461 standards. I delivered complete prototypes and end-use products by combining rapid prototyping, CNC machining, and post-processing techniques.
During my internship at Petronas Carigali, I identified capability gaps, designed technical programs for skill enhancement, and evaluated their impact on workforce development.
Key Projects
My notable projects include developing medical devices such as brain probe surgical guides and orthotic insoles with optimized topology using Nylon 12. I have worked on defense systems, including a vehicular intercom chest box and 50-watt amplifiers, which required qualification testing and user acceptance trials. In automotive, I reverse-engineered car shock absorbers using SolidWorks and Geomagics.
Education and Research
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Precision Engineering from MJIIT, UTM (CGPA: 3.48), and I am pursuing a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (CGPA: 3.77). My research focuses on acoustics and 3D-printed orthotic insoles. I’ve been recognized with multiple Dean’s List Awards and APC Awards in 2022 and 2023 for outstanding performance.
