Hyderabad Laboratory of Molecular Cell Biology. Currently working on screening and development
of protein interaction inhibitors of PE/PPE family proteins as anti-virulent agents via suppression of
pathogenic properties of Mycobacteria. Identification of components of the signaling pathways
utilized in bacterial subversion of phagocytosis using molecular biology techniques. Development of
Novel drug candidates against interactive complexes of PPE and host proteins using cell-based
cytokine estimation assays. Discovery and development of Anti-inflammatory peptides (drug
candidates) from bacterial source using chemical induced inflammatory mice models.

promising novel drug candidates by analyzing behavioral animal models and molecular levels of
inflammatory mediators by gene and protein expression studies and microscopic imaging studies.

Supervisor: Dr. Sreedhara R. Voleti, PhD, University of Hyderabad, Dr. Reddy's Institute of Life
Sciences, Division of Computational Biology, utilized several bioinformatic tools for the structure
development of GPCR complement receptors and designing of antagonistic drug scaffolds for the
inflammatory diseases.
