Ma Isabel Grace Martinez

I am a license Chemical Engineer from Mapua Institute of Technology, Philippines and also a graduate of Advance Diploma in Analytical Science from National University of Singapore(NUS). I have worked in various manufacturing company such as Asia Brewery(Philippines) and Novartis Singapore Pharmaceutical Manufacturing(NSPM)(Singapore).

I lived in Singapore from July 1998 but due to my husbands work we have to move to Germany and I have been residing in Frankfurt since Aug 2017. As mentioned my last stint of work is at Novartis Singapore as Analytical Chemist. I joined NSPM in 2009 and I was assigned at Drug Product Laboratory(DP Lab) but later on I was transferred to Analytical Support Team(AS&T) until I resigned in 2017.

My experience at the Drug Product Laboratory increases my knowledge in cGMP(current Good Manufacturing Practice) and enhances my laboratory skills. I was designated to perform product transfer from Novartis, Stein(Switzerland) to NSPM. From here I have to experience first hand how the product was tested and analysed so I can able to adapt the same technique when the same product is produced in Singapore. My attention to detail and positive mindset helped me to perform the product transfer successfully amidst the stress and pressure in meeting the given timeline.

Eventually I moved to a different team (AS&T) so I can able to learn and do new things at the same time expand my knowledge when it comes to Quality. I remember my first task was to develop and validate a method based on the Pharmaceutical Guidelines. I also do Product review using statistical tools to ensure the quality of the product and that no underlying significant trend can be observed.

I always work within a team and I have enjoyed working with a group of people thus it explains myself being a good team player.
