Hi (First Name),
Hope you’re good. I’m reaching out after noticing your interest in the subject and to introduce you to Rational Learning Course being taught this Fall by Alan Dabney, Ph.D.; Associate Professor; Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University.
The overall objective of the course is to broaden students' perspectives through a series of lectures and interactive sessions. Specifically, a blend of probability, philosophy and scientific inquiry with mindfulness practice and common sense will be used to develop a rational and research-backed understanding of ourselves and our interconnectedness with all things. Students will practice mindfulness techniques at home and in the classroom throughout the course.
Have a look at the previous lectures delivered by Dr Alan Dabney to know more about the subject as well as to assess your interest in the subject.

Hi (First Name),
Hope you’re doing well. Thought I’d follow up in case you missed my previous email. I had reached out to introduce you to Rational Learning Course being taught this Fall by Alan Dabney, Ph.D.; Associate Professor; Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University.
The course will help in understanding one’s interconnectedness to one’s surroundings. The class blends probability, scientific inquiry, as well as rational thought and common sense to present a belief-free argument for being loving and compassionate to oneself and to others.
We will be having different guest lecturers from different departments as well to help us understand rational thinking from different viewpoints.
Would love to know your thoughts and well as to hear back.
Have a look at the Facebook page here and RSPV to the event here.
Cheers,

Hi (First Name),
Hope you’re good. Wanted to know if you are you a deep thinker who is interested in making a positive impact on the world? Are you one of those individuals who is simply not satisfied with an “us vs. them” dynamics in society and on campus? Looking at those “Democrats vs Republicans”.
Then I would recommend “Rational Learning”. In a nutshell, it’s basically the understanding of the surroundings and the relationship between the components of the surrounding.
Good thing is that Alan Dabney, Ph.D.; Associate Professor; Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University is teaching a course related to Rational Learning this Fall and you can get in. It’s more of a “meaning of life” kind of class.
It’s a pretty cool course that blends probability, scientific inquiry, as well as rational thought and common sense to present a belief-free argument for being loving and compassionate to oneself and to others.
Have a look at the course, guest speakers, learnings and other details by clicking here. We also have a FB page and an FB event set up. Share and RSVP if interested.
Feel free to ping me for suggestions as well as to inquire any questions you might have
Course starts at 12:40-1:30pm in Blocker 448. See you there.

Hey (First Name),
Hope you’re doing well. I got in contact with you last week but haven’t heard back and that honestly makes me pretty sad.
When someone emails you, the rational thing to do is to email them even if one is not interested which btw I don’t really think is the case here. I’m an optimist and I’ll give you the benefit of doubt that you got swarmed away by work before getting back to me ;)
So back to the point, Alan Dabney, Ph.D.; Associate Professor; Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University is teaching a course on rational learning this Fall which will help to broaden ones' perspectives through a series of lectures and interactive sessions.
Over the course of the course (pun intended :P), a blend of probability, philosophy and scientific inquiry with mindfulness practice and common sense will be used to develop a rational and research-backed understanding of ourselves and our interconnectedness with all things.
You know I’m really looking forward to hearing back and getting you viewpoints so please do.
