FREELANCE EDITING AND PROOFREADING – 2015-present Over this period, I worked as a freelance proofreader for an online agency, Elance, which later became known as Upwork. I proofread, edited and wrote various books and articles, ranging from medical articles, and Java training articles for a German developer, to fiction and non-fiction manuscripts. I later branched out into editing full-length books as well as medical and academic theses. I have established a successful career on the platform and currently have Top Rated status with a 99% job success rating. My fruitful time at the practice ended when I moved to Hogsback towards the end of 2020 for a working holiday. I returned to Zululand in January 2021 and have continued with full-time editing from home. education I attended high school at Kwe-Kwe High School in Zimbabwe and matriculated in 1985 at John Ross College in Richards Bay, South Africa. After that, I completed my nursing and midwifery training at the Natal College of Nursing, Grey’s Hospital, Pietermaritzburg in 1989. Since then, I have completed various short courses in wound care, first aid and editing. INTERESTS I consider myself an outdoor person with a love of hiking, mountain biking, and birdwatching. I’m a keen gardener and “foodie” who enjoys cooking for friends and family.
