I generated subscription sales for a gift box e-commerce
store with a retargeting campaign in French and German,
increasing ROAS by over 1000% within the first month.
The client, a Swiss gift subscription box business was struggling with
decreasing ROAS due to audience saturation and ad fatigue.
I developed new creatives and set up retargeting audiences from pixel
data and a list of previous customers. I then tested the creatives and
audiences, leading to an increase of over 1000% in ROAS and generating
over 4000 CHF in sales from 200 CHF ad spend.
I then set up a retargeting funnel to optimise the account with long-term
campaigns. Within 3 months, these had achieved a 100% increase in
revenue with CHF 49,000 from CHF 4600 of ad spend.

After the success of retargeting campaign, I set up a 3-stage funnel for
prospecting and retargeting. The goal was to prepare the account for the
holiday season and scale ad spend while maintaining a profitable ROAS.
Monthly performance
Already in the first month, the ROAS target of 5x was exceeded. The
second month saw a slight decrease in ROAS while I was running
continuous split tests on audiences and new creatives. I also worked
with the client to develop a new landing page to improve conversion
rates. ROAS doubled in month 3.
3-month performance
The campaigns significantly outperformed the same period in the
previous year throughout all 3 months, overall by over 95% and with a
100% increase in revenue and purchases.

The client, an international SaaS platform for Amazon FBA sellers was
struggling with high cost per checkout and cost per trial.

For CFD Broker
Promoting a German CFD broker, I developed and optimised
Facebook Ad lead generation funnels that remedied ad
policy violations and reduced conversion costs by over 95%.
The client, a German contract-for-difference broker, was struggling with
high conversion costs and frequent account suspensions due to ad
policy violations.
I developed a data-based growth and advertising strategy that complied
with Facebook's advertising policies. I developed ad campaigns and
landing pages tailored to the target audience. I then ran optimisation
experiments for campaigns and landing pages on a limited budget to
increase conversion rates and reduce costs.

during optimisation process.
Almost no conversions were achieved with campaigns set up by the
client during a period of 3 months, with costs above 6000€ per
conversion (webinar signup).
I developed new landing pages and campaigns tailored to the target
audience. I then split tested creatives and custom, lookalike and
retargeting audiences and ran these tests on a limited budget.
After optimisation, costs were down to 28.5€ per conversion.

I ran a multivariate test with Google Optimize to test variations of copy
for the hero message and CTA buttons on the landing page.
The test identified one winning variant that outperformed the original
with a 97% probability, increasing the conversion rate from below 1% to
3%.
Thus, optimisation from this test lead to a 300% improvement in
conversion rates.

Optimisation for
SaaS startup
Consulting a B2B SaaS startup, I audited the user acquisition
funnel to identify where users drop off. I then developed an
experimental strategy to address conversion issues and
implemented improvements to capturing traffic and
onboarding new users.
The client, an early-stage SaaS startup wanted to acquire more users
but was struggling to reach traction.
I analysed their website traffic to understand where user drop off and
identified areas of improvement. 90% of traffic was lost on the first page
view and another 80% of new registrations were lost within the first day
of signing up and did not return.
The data suggested that spending effort on advertising did not make
sense until the conversion rates could be improved. The existing traffic
could be leveraged to run experiments in order to achieve higher
conversion rates and retain users longer during the trail period.

Optimisation Strategy
I suggested a variety of solutions that could increase conversion rates
and user retention, as well as a strategy to test and implement these
solutions using controlled experiments.
At the user acquisition stage, I mapped out an improved user funnel that
could reduce bounce rates and increase conversion rates with
multivariate testing, simplified user flow, popups, and retargeting.
Some of these suggestions were implemented and initial results
confirmed an increase in website conversions and a decrease in bounce
rates.

I considered in-depth data from Google Analytics and Hubspot. I isolated
specific user segments and then analysed cohorts and behaviour flow
for these segments.
The data showed two critical points of user drop-off: at acquisition and
shortly after registration.
