ENGINEERING PROJECTS
MODERNIZED PERKINS BRAILLER | September 2019 - Present
• Collaborated with 5 undergraduate students to create a low-cost, electronically
actuated typewriter for the visually impaired, addressing a technological gap for
blind students in the education system
• Served as lead mechanical engineer responsible designing the embossing system and
completing CAD drawings for over 100 parts in the full assembly
PHASE VARIABLES IN GAIT ASSISTANCE | January 2018 – August 2018
• Researched phase variables parametrizing the gait cycle to improve torque tracking
methodology of currently available exoskeleton control architectures
ROBOTIC GRIPPER | October 2018 – December 2018
• Served as lead designer in a group of five engineers to construct a lightweight, robotic
gripper capable of gripping and swinging a three-pound test object
MICRO-HYBRID GAS SENSOR |May 2017 – September 2017
• Analyzed methane levels in surrounding neighborhoods by machining a gas chamber
and developed an apparatus containing an infrared sensor and thermopile emitter
connected to an Arduino for voltage tracking
