As a CSA, I had to provide IT support for all the clients that contacted us via phone, email or virtual assistant.
Working in this environment I learned how to be patient and how to have a pleasant conversation with all kinds
of people, as our customers were everthing from engineers to top managers.
Customer care seemed to be the most effective tool, after the IT knowledge. Another important skill that I
gained was was communication, without which I would not have been able to understand the needs and
issues of the customer.
Having to log tickets for all customers and dealing with them during the break between two calls, I also got to
learn time management. I learned how to categorise tickets as just important or as important and urgent.
