I'm Luca Calone, a passionate Italian content creator with over a decade of experience freelancing globally.
My journey began by writing and directing web series, including the noir "Dirty Move," which paved the way for the production of a docu-series for RAI called "Phobia." In 2014, I moved to Scotland, where I earned a degree in TV production. In the same year, I wrote and directed the short film "Into," a winner of the Short Film Factory Competition.
Later, I specialised in crafting social media content for businesses and marketing agencies. I successfully executed campaigns for organisations worldwide, stretching from New York City to Moscow, covering various aspects such as video production, photography, and motion design.
Notably, campaigns like McAlpine’s “Fred’s Fridays” and Eldorado’s “So Swanky” garnered significant online recognition, surpassing a million views.
Beyond my corporate work, I've collaborated as a content creator for BBC The Social and as a writer and director for the Italian prime-time show "Le Iene," contributing to documentaries and independent films.
My artistic vision is driven by a dedication to exploring the nuances of visual storytelling. Specialising in the use of tools such as Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, Audition, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, and professional video and photographic gear, I bring a comprehensive approach to my craft.
Each project is an opportunity to create something unique, to capture stories that inspire and engage audiences.
I'm excited to share my creative journey with you through this portfolio. Thank you for being here, and I look forward to connecting through our visual stories.
