I was working with the Cellulant Ecobank team that is a 100% dedicated to ensuring Ecobank software product are up and
running..This involves the mobile banking application which are Ecobank Mobile application and Rapid transfer.
I worked on the Ecobank mobile banking platform upgrade 2019 that involved building a digital banking platform to serve over 100m
customers by mid 2020.
•
Use of swagger hub to implement and standardize APIs. Testing of this APIs to make sure they return the required response. These
were mainly used by the Android and iOS development team all the way to the ESB core team.
•
Testing backend APIs and working closely with the development team and being able to monitor the scalability and reporting any bugs
to the required team.
•
Use of plural sight to up skill my experience in software testing and performance. JMeter performance testing. I'm currently a novice.
•
Use of Android studio and Xcode to profile and test the mobile applications. Testing each endpoint service being called from the
mobile application to the core banking system and back.
•
Testing the apps front-end UI. This is on both Android and iOS. Ensuring that the app is smooth and customer friendly.
•
Use of test rail to document in the functional test cases for project and any upgrade on builds. This also involved running test results
and sharing to the team. Any reported bugs would be reported on Jira and assigned to the developer after stating where a bug is and at
which point is it failing.
•
Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
•
Reporting to direct key manager on a daily basis with updates on progress on the tests and reviews and coming up with a week plan.
•
Using SQL ServerR2 and MYSQL with a multiple number of databases to ensure that the system is well implemented. Working on the
stored procedures and various data models.
•
Performing regression testing to the apps when there are changes done and sharing them with the bank. I would also share the required
builds after testing for a new release.
