I have a diverse and extensive background, combining business ownership, teaching, and payroll expertise. Since December 2013, I have owned and operated DopEnKreef Restaurant in Hondeklipbaai, where I manage day-to-day operations remotely during the off-season and hands-on during high season. My responsibilities include overseeing inventory, maintenance, employee management, payroll, finances, and promotions, alongside ensuring compliance with liquor license regulations.
Previously, from April 2018 to February 2021, I served as a Grade 2 Teacher at Hebron Christian School, where I designed and implemented lesson plans, assessed student progress, and fostered positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues in a safe, engaging learning environment.
My earlier experience includes owning and managing Auret Liquor Store from May 2013 to August 2014, overseeing client services, stock control, staff, cash handling, and compliance with laws and regulations.
In the payroll industry, I gained significant experience at Sage VIP Payroll, holding several roles from 2008 to 2013. As a Payroll Support Consultant, I assisted clients with payroll processing, tax submissions, and HR module implementation. As a New Business Consultant, I sold payroll solutions to clients, conducted product demonstrations, and prepared proposals. In addition, as an Infoslips Sales Consultant, I sold additional modules and closed deals. I also have experience as a Maths Teacher at Eldoraigne High School, teaching Grade 8 and 9 students, where I developed lesson plans and assessments.
