Principal Project Manager
Project Manager - interim program manager for Home Health Program – a Federal Medi-Cal program managed by the state aimed outreach for homeless and poverty patients to enroll them in Medi-Cal and to get them into wellness visits. Providers were to be paid per patient served and meeting a set amount of wellness. Insurance companies were to be reimbursed by Medi-Cal upon proof of payments to providers for wellness visits. Effort involved multiple project and program managers that I tracked and reported Program status on. Managed all using MS Project Program projects included:
Attended state conferences and calls to track on changing program requirements
Establishing relationships with on the ground local health organizations already serving at risk populations
Leveraging state cell phones for economically challenged to provide appointment reminders
Repurposing existing programs use of Uber/Lyft to assist to appointments
Creating care packages – blankets and water to build trust
Creating billing and appointment workflows to intake the appointment information from participating practices using and then creating the electronic files per the states requirements used to pass through Blue Shield and result in payments to the physicians.
