Lina Sbai

My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor in mechanical engineering. I recently started working as in reliability of machines in a newspaper mill in Gatineau, Quebec. I was an international student at the University of Ottawa from 2016 to 2020, as I just recently graduated. I am originally from Morocco, where the rest of my family lives. Although it has not always been easy integrating into a different country alone, it has been the most enriching and rewarding experience of my life.

As much as I love working as an engineer, I also have a deep passion for reading and writing. I believe that there is no greater power than turning thoughts and feelings into concrete words that can be read and understood. Words are a projection of the writer's intention. This intention is reflected on the reader, and the quality of the writing defines the quality of the reflection. This is what i love the most about writing: the challenge of writing something powerful that can be understood.
