Leonardo Chagas

My name is Leonardo da Silva Chagas, Married, father of Arthur. I was born in Volta

Redonda in April 1981. I am very communicative, and I value interpersonal relationships in both

personnel and professional life. Personally, I appreciate changes and new challenges.

I have a degree in Production Engineering with Mechanical emphasis from Universidade

do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). I have a postgraduate degree in Quality and Productivity

from the Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI). I realized a MBA in Business Management

from the Fundação Getulio vargas (FGV).

I’m a qualified professional with more than 18 years of experience in industries with

background in Lean Manufacturing, Production, Quality Control, Project, Logistic and Process

Engineering in different companies of automotive industry (PSA Peugeot Citroen, General

Motors and Ford Motors) where I was able to develop leadership with big groups of employees to

achieve a good performance. Implementing several technical Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Logistic

in Just in Time optimization was possible to achieve relevant results considering all areas (>USD

15M in savings). Also, acting as Project Manager in different implementations, I could organize

and develop skills in planning and execution of processes like welding, machining and assembly for

equipment also in building and installation.

I have extensive experience in Production, Development of Logistic Inbound and

Outboud and Manufacturing area. As the main related matters, we may highlight Coordinator of

Production and Logistic. Good ability to change standard considering risk specially in merge of

operations in two different groups. Good experience in Standardization Management based on

Lessons Learned, Process and development of Equipment. I have several international experiences

and close contact to my pears in other offices, such as: Argentine, Chile, China, USA and Europe. I

really appreciate the contact with many different countries and cultures.
