Originally John Montgomery, the grandfather, called saying that 2 of his grandchildren we're living
in Memphis and had a foreclosure date set on their house for February 5th. They are twelve
months behind on the mortgage payments at 881/ month. There are 4 total grandsons on the
deed. (The two grandsons that live in Memphis in the house areEddie and Adam. The other two
grandchildren live here in Nashville are Christopher and William.)
John passed the phone to William. William is the executor and the one that I've spoke with for the
rest of the conversation.
William said that he only found out about the foreclosure via a letter he got in the mail from a law
office. He thought they were making the payments. yikes.
According to William, the house is in pretty good shape but it might need paint, the carpets to be
shampooed, the garage door is a little damaged, as well as one window is messed up.
He tried to call the mortgage company to sort something out, but they wouldn't speak with him
because the mortgage is still in the original owners name.
They still owe 175K
Asking to catch up mortgage payments and sell it.
