I started working professionally in 2001. With almost 20 years of working experience, I have literally done every task there is in the fields of Administrative Services and Accounting. But I believe that there are still a lot to learn. With that being said, I am flexible, trainable and coachable.

Let me briefly mention my educational background. I have a Bachelors degree in Management Accounting and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA).

When I started working in 2001, I was able to do virtual assistant tasks like data entry, typing, errands, research, filing, scheduling, recording of transactions and other clerical tasks. As I gain experience, I was able to handle tasks like bookkeeping, payroll, billing, accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, budgeting, correspondence, financial reports, analysis reports and other tasks as assigned by my superior. As I step into the seniority level, I was given an opportunity to do supervisory functions like coming up with action plans and procedures, implementing procedures, supervising staff, auditing, do presentation reports and many more high level tasks.

While fulfilling my duties and responsibilities, I have also gained some technological skills like using Microsoft Office for documents, spreadsheets and presentations, QuickBooks and Xero for Accounting & Bookkeeping, Basecamp, Trello and Redbooth for tasks assignments. I have also experienced maintaining and updating a database of customers.

Skills mentioned above are very important but another equally very important aspect of being a professional is the character and the values I uphold as a virtual assistant and a bookkeeper. I take to my heart the values of confidentiality, diplomacy, cooperation, flexibility, and positivity. These values plus the skills make me an ideal virtual assistant and bookkeeper.

As a professional, I never stopped learning and acquiring skills I can use to be able to help more business owners. I have learned the skills of making and maintaining websites that run on WordPress. I also have acquired a skill in video creation and online marketing.

In summary, I can say that I am a multi-tasker, problem solver, and being a bookkeeper, I have great attention to details.

Most importantly, since I value the time of business owners, I can work with minimum supervision. This means that I can hit the ground running while the business owners grow their businesses.
