interview at A&B Business Inc.
STEPS:
1) Camila calls A&B Inc. to talk to Mr. Eduardo M. about the job post.
2) The Receptionist (Leila) answers the call and says that Eduardo is out of the office.
She gets the message (name and phone number) from Camila and say that Eduardo
will call back later.
3) The I.T. Manager (Mr Eduardo M) calls Camila and asks some questions about her
experience in the area and see if she’s available for an interview on
__________________________.
4) Camila answers questions about her experience and says that CAN’T COME TO AN
INTERVIEW ON that day
5) Eduardo suggests another day and time
6) Camila accepts and thanks for the opportunity. Say bye.

CLASS PLAN
OBJECTIVES =>
1- PRACTICE TELEPHONE CONVERSATION;
2- USE MODAL VERBS (CAN, COULC, WOULD) FOR ABILITY, REQUESTS AND OFFERS;
3- USE THE VOCABULARY LEARNED (Unit 1 – Careers)
a) Do the activities proposed on page 11 (listening/writing) - MKL Pre Inter;
b) Hand out a copy with Useful Phrases and Vocabulary for Telephoning;
c) Prepare an oral practice ( 2 students + teacher). Personalize and grade it according to
sts. needs and profile. The idea is that the students stay in different rooms and use
the extension to talk to each other. Make it as real as possible and check whether the
students understand their roles.
d) For groups, make sure the others have something to do while the teacher is busy
with the telephone practice.
e) Check students’ performance, take notes and give feedback
